Between October 2006 and January 2007, Dante Sumlar was involved with counterfeiting both commercial and cashier's checks. The scheme, which spanned from Jacksonville, FL, to Alabama, resulted in the loss of more than $200,000. Sumlar was indicted in the Southern District of Alabama for violation of 18 USC 371 (Conspiracy), 18 USC 513 (Counterfeit Securities), and 18 USC 1344 (Bank Fraud).
